IMBIZO BREAKFAST SHOW BAGS A NOMINATION AT THE 2022 RADIO AWARDS

KZN’s NO.1 Community Talk Radio Station is pleased to announce that our breakfast show has been nominated for the Best Community Radio Breakfast Show.

The nominated show which is called Imbizo Breakfast is presented by Sibusiso Mxolisi Mhlongo (fondly known as Stressless). Mxolisi Mhlongo is a motivated and ultra-cool radio personality born in a small village of Umzinto, called Kenterton, Mqangqala in the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal Province, with experience spanning over 14 years within the media industry, specifically within the genre of broadcasting.

His talent in the broadcasting industry is impressive alongside his diligence and work ethic. Dependable, Independent, determined, efficient, flexible and hardworking are just some of the words that describe Mxolisi.

Mxolisi was introduced to the world of media through radio broadcasting when he topped all the contestants during the audition hosted by Izwi LoMzansi Community Radio in 2008.

Izwi Lomzansi’s Station Manager, Mr. Vela Xulu, had this to say about the nomination: “We as Izwi LoMzansi are very proud of Mr. Mhlongo and the work he has put in to the show so far, we are also excited to see our talent, being recognized by the industry and we promise to continue to provide our growing audience with the local news and information, on-air talent.”

This is the 12th year that the Radio Awards will honor “exceptional and innovative excellence” in South Africa’s radio industry, and we’re so honored to be a part of this year’s nomination. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Saturday, 26 November 2022, in Parktown, Johannesburg.
