
Inkampani ekhiqiza iziphuzo iCoca Cola SA ithi ukuncishiswa kwemisebenzi kuzothinta kakhulu abasebenzi okubalwa kubo omabhalane, yilabo abasabalalisa imkhiqizo, abasebenza femini yokugcwalisa emabhodleleni umkhiqizo kanjalo nabasemahhovisi ezifunda.
Ngakolunye uhlangothi, inkampani ithembise amaphakheji wokuyeka kanye nokwesekwa kokuphuma endaweni njengengxenye yesinyathelo sokuthuthukisa ukusebenza kahle.
Nokho izinyunyana zabasebenzi okubalwa kuzo iNational Union of Metalworkers (NUMSA) sezizwakalise ilaka lazo, zixwayisa ngokuthi lokhu kuzonyusa izinga labantu abangasebenzi kuleli.

Ngokusho kwenyunyana iSolidarity, izaziso zokudilizwa kwabasebenzi ezitholwe yinyunyana ngenyanga edlule zithinta abantu ababalelwa kwabangu-350,000.
NgoLwesithathu kwisithangami sabezindaba “I-Solidarity ilindele ukuthi lesi sibalo senyuke kakhulu ezinyangeni ezintathu ezizayo kanti futhi manje icela ukuthi ezinye izinyunyana, abaqashi nezinhlangano zomphakathi nazo zimemezele izikhalazo zazo kuhulumeni,” kusho isikhulu senyunyana, uDirk Hermann, sitshela isithangami sabezindaba ngoLwesithathu.
I-Solidarity isimemezele ukungaboni ngaso linye nohulumeni kuMkhandlu Kazwelonke Wokuthuthukiswa Komnotho Nezabasebenzi (National Economic Development and Labour Council -NEDLAC) njengoba kuneqwaba yabasebenzi abazodilizwa.
Inyunyana ikholwa ukuthi ukumenyezelwa kwezikhalazo kuzophoqa uhulumeni ukuba angene ezingxoxweni mayelana nezinyathelo zokunqanda ukulahleka kwemisebenzi.
